The
Novel
| “The
Living Wills” is the product of collaborative creativity.
In an effort to ‘walk the walk’, Brendan and a writing partner,
Rick Kaempfer, have used the techniques of collaborative creativity
(improvisation, brainstorming, mind mapping, other ideation tools)
to generate the characters, plot lines, and content of “The Living
Wills,” a novel Rick Kogan of the Chicago Tribune calls “rollicking
and real on so many levels.” The novel is available
for purchase now from www.eckhartzpress.com
as a trade paperback. It will soon be available as an e-book. Brendan
will also have copies on hand at his creativity workshops and seminars.
The authors are also available to speak about their process to
your corporate group, writers’ conference, book club, etc. Contact
Brendan here for more
information.
A decision
made in two seconds can change, damage, save or even end a life.
Henry Stankiewicz made such a decision and he is still dealing with
the ripple effects over 30 years later. Can he and the people he
affected now maneuver their way through a world of baristas and
Army veterans, cartoon pirates and exploding port-a-potties, Canadian
cowboys and bowling teams, office politics an young love, to find
the strength to heal before it’s too late?

“Rollicking and real on so many levels, The Living Wills is a captivating
collaboration by two immensely talented writers. I hope this team keeps
at it for keeps.”
- Rick Kogan, Chicago Tribune
“…a
hell of an old-fashioned read. It brings to life ‘the city of broad
shoulders’ and makes me homesick. I want a Billy Goat cheezborger and
a shot of whiskey.”
- William Petersen, Chicago-bred film/TV/stage actor,
CSI: Crime Scene Investigation
“The
Living Wills” will bowl you over! For the love of Chicago, coffee and
picking up the spare, you must read this novel from the exciting new
writing team of Sullivan and Kaempfer.”
- Kim Strickland, author of Wish Club and Down at the Golden
Coin
